Blue Footscray: Curating Schedule of Activities & Events (Bluscray)

Developing a program of arts and events to activate, celebrate and link the university and the town

Client: Victoria University

Location: Footscray, Melbourne VIC

Hello City worked with Victoria University and Maribyrnong Council to develop a program of activities using the theme of ‘blue’. The program was designed to celebrate the centenary of the university and the role of learning in shaping Footscray over the last 100 years into the vibrant and exciting place it is today. Although intended to be a one-off program, many of the elements were so popular that they have become a permanent part of the University’s ongoing programming.

Our work includes:

global research to uncover fabulous events that have been delivered elsewhere to could inspire the team
workshopping to generate, test and refine ideas
finalisation of a costed, deliverable scheme of events and activities over 15 months
Look out for blue themed events, artworks, activities and happenings of all kinds in the inner west of Melbourne over the next year.
